The scientific revolution is what historians describe as the emergence of modern science. Improvements in mathematics, astronomy, physics, biology, and chemistry were made. Europe was the home of the scientific revolution. It arguably started in the 1540's after discoveries from Copernicus.
During the Scientific Revolution scientists such as Galileo, Copernicus, Descartes and Bacon wrestled with questions about God, human aptitude, and the possibilities of understanding the world. Eventually, the implications of the new scientific findings began to affect the way people thought and behaved throughout Europe.
Scientific revolution is credited for the abolishment of the ignorance that pervaded the society. The majority of the people were ruled by the belief that the world was under the control of some deity. This belief was the only explanation that the people could come up with for the occurrences that did not appear to be logical to them.
